ChurchOS®: A back to biblical basics, comprehensive leadership system designed to help churches activate the Great Commission within churches and communities, with clear principles, practices, and tools for effective ministry.
ChurchOS Living Toolbox®: The ever-growing set of strategic conversations and tools that are used in Intentional Growth Planning and the full implementation of ChurchOS.
Intentional Growth Planning® (IGP): The core process of ChurchOS. A one-of-a-kind, team-based process to activate the Great Commission ministry-wide, using strategic conversations from the ChurchOS Living Toolbox® in four repeatable phases: Discover, Design, Organize, and Activate.
Great Commission Engine® (GCE): The foundational tool of the ChurchOS Living Toolbox, explaining the top five core strategies of any Gospel-centered, evangelistic church.
Engagement Pathway®: A critical piece to the Great Commission Engine and to ChurchOS and one of the most underestimated strategies when it comes to growing, reaching your One, and connecting them to you, Jesus, and others.
Vision Initiative Projects™ (VIPs): These short-term projects are key to activating the Great Commission and are designed with clear objectives and deliverables leading to breakthrough in kingdom impact.
Mission: The Great Commission given to the local church in Matthew 28:19-20 — to make more and better disciples of Jesus.
True North: A clear and detailed picture of a desired future that answers the question, Where are we heading?
ChurchOS Activation Dashboard™: The primary activation tool comprising The Great Commission Engine, Activation Metrics, and status reporting on the current season’s VIPs.
Evaluation Standards: A simple rating system used in Intentional Growth Planning to objectively evaluate the health and status of ministry programs and systems.
ChurchOS Activator: A church’s internal point person who coordinates and drives the overall execution of Intentional Growth Planning; an ongoing and integral role in the success of a church using ChurchOS as its leadership operating system.
Activator Training: A comprehensive 3-day experiential program designed for church leaders wanting to learn and implement the ChurchOS leadership system in a hands-on workshop environment and certifies them as a ChurchOS Activator.
Lap / Advanced Lap: 12-months of support from an IC Lead Facilitator and IC Coach to help a church install and integrate ChurchOS into the rhythms of ministry leadership while implementing Intentional Growth Planning.
Church Plant Lap: 6-months of support from an IC Lead Facilitator and IC Coach to help a church plant take root by installing and integrating ChurchOS early on in the life of the church, to set them up for early and ongoing Intentional Growth Planning.
Jump Start: 3-months of support from an IC Coach to help a church get started implementing some basic Intentional Growth Planning, or help those who have already installed and integrated ChurchOS who need an advanced boost for a season.
IC Lead Facilitator: Intentional Churches trained and certified personnel who are experts in guiding a team through the installation, renewal, and training of ChurchOS using the ChurchOS Living Toolbox in a live workshop format.
IC Coach: Intentional Churches trained and certified personnel who coach, train, and resource church leadership teams in ChurchOS implementation Intentional Growth Planning execution, working together over the course of months or even years.
OneLife: This embodies the idea of identifying at least one non-Christian in your sphere of influence—where you work, live, or play— whom God has put on your heart to pray for and reach out to for Christ.
3D1 Process: A relational evangelism process that outlines three key steps: develop friendships, discover stories, and discern next steps.
Own & Model: To inspire, equip, and mobilize every staff and core leader to personally engage the 3D1 process first.
OneLife Activator: A staff member or volunteer who is designated to develop and execute a comprehensive church-wide evangelism strategic plan to inspire, equip, and mobilize every believer (“the 99”) at Discovery Church to a lifestyle of effective spiritual influence.
