The Origin
Why we built OneBoard.
Most governance frameworks were built for businesses or nonprofits where board members oversee an organization they are not personally part of. A church board is fundamentally different. Your board members are not detached overseers. They are inside the church, invested in it, shaped by it, and personally accountable to the same mission they are called to govern.
After years of working alongside churches, we kept noticing the same thing. Even when leadership teams were moving with clarity and momentum, there was still more potential waiting to be unlocked. OneBoard was built on the conviction that a governing board radically aligned to the Great Commission doesn't just improve how a church is run. It frees the whole church to become what God is calling it to be.
