OneTeam Lap One
Your whole team.
One direction.
Twelve months.
Twelve months of focused coaching, proven frameworks, and outside accountability. This is where your leadership team stops talking about alignment and starts living it.
What is this?
Most leadership teams know something needs to change. The hard part isn't knowing. It's staying focused on the right thing for a full year when ministry never slows down long enough to let you.
The OneTeam Lap is a twelve-month coaching engagement that gets your entire leadership team radically aligned around one mission, working from the same playbook, and executing with the kind of focus that actually moves your church forward.
This is not a one-size-fits-all program. Your church has a unique calling, a unique history, and a unique community. Our job is not to get you running our plays. Our job is to help you build what God is calling you to build, within a proven framework that has worked across more than 1,000 churches, twenty-seven denominations, and every size of church imaginable.
By Month 12 your team will have something that's hard to manufacture: genuine unity around a shared mission, real confidence in where you're headed, and the momentum that comes from a year of actually doing the work together.
What changes in your church?
Your leadership team stops pulling in different directions and starts moving together around one mission.
Your One stops being an abstract idea and becomes someone your leaders are actively reaching.
Your biggest constraint gets named, owned, and addressed — not theorized about.
Strategic priorities get executed, not just identified.
Your church develops the internal capacity to keep going, long after the Lap is complete.
The way your team leads, decides, and deploys resources changes permanently.
Two formats. One destination.
For most churches the In-Person Lap is the most comprehensive way to experience the OneTeam system. It's deeply customized, your coach is in the room with you, and the depth of the engagement is unmatched. The Online Lap was built for churches that are ready for the same commitment and accountability but need a format that fits a different context or budget. Both produce real results. Both require real work.

The Workshop introduces the core frameworks and gives your team a shared starting point. The Lap is where you implement them. Over twelve months your team identifies your biggest constraint, launches a focused priority to address it, and builds the leadership rhythms to keep going independently. Workshop introduces. Lap integrates and owns.
-
No. The In-Person Lap begins with a two-day install that covers the foundational frameworks comprehensively. The Online Lap begins with a four-week intensive that does the same. Churches who have done the Workshop will have a head start, but it is not required for either format.
-
Your Activator is the internal champion on your leadership team who keeps the Radical Alignment system moving between coaching sessions. Typically an executive or operations pastor, the Activator owns the dashboard, coordinates your VIP Teams, and ensures the work doesn't stall when life gets busy.
-
Your senior pastor plus the key leaders who carry real leadership weight — staff, elders, and board members. One person serves as your Activator and keeps everything moving. In the Online Lap, remote team members work fine. In the In-Person Lap, your core team commits to the two-day install, the Activation Kickoff, and the quarterly on-site sessions together.
-
A VIP is a focused six to twelve month initiative with a specific measurable goal, a single named owner, and a team behind it. It's the primary work your leadership team executes during the Lap. Not a program tweak or a goal you add to your existing workload — a VIP is the one strategic priority that, if it succeeds, most moves your church forward toward reaching your One.
-
You go through the full year with three to four other churches and an IC coach. You hear each other's progress, give honest feedback, and hold each other accountable. The peer learning is a core part of why it works. You are not going through this alone.
-
The year begins with a four-week virtual intensive — four 90-minute sessions that establish the foundational frameworks, diagnose your biggest growth constraint, narrow to your one Vision Initiative Project, and launch it with a clear charter and named owner. By the end of week four your team has moved from fog to focus. From there months two through twelve follow a consistent monthly rhythm: individual coaching with your IC coach and a group session with your full cohort. Between sessions your peer community keeps the conversation and momentum going. Each month builds progressively toward full implementation and independence by Month 12.
-
Your team finishes the Lap with a repeatable system and the capacity to keep going independently. Some churches do a second Lap to go deeper or address the next constraint. Others continue on their own. Either way your coach helps you identify your next move before the Lap ends.
-
Absolutely. In many ways a church plant is the ideal context for the Lap because you have the opportunity to build alignment into your culture from the very beginning rather than trying to retrofit it later. The Lap helps your core team get radically aligned around your One, establish your Engagement Pathway, and build the leadership rhythms that will serve your church for years to come. We have walked many church plants through the Lap and have specific experience helping planters build right from day one. Talk to our team about which format makes the most sense for your plant's stage and context.
-
Not in the way most people think. We have walked churches of all sizes through the OneTeam Lap, from church plants to established churches of ten thousand or more, across twenty-seven denominations. The key is not your size. It is your leadership team's readiness to do the work. If you are unsure which format fits your church's size and complexity, a thirty-minute conversation with our team will help you think it through.
-
The In-Person Lap includes your two-day on-site install with an IC facilitator and coach, the Activation Kickoff, three quarterly full-day on-site visits, monthly coaching, bi-weekly Activator coaching calls, dashboard tracking, and complete documentation of all your OneTeam work.
-
The Online Lap includes the four-week virtual intensive, monthly individual coaching sessions, monthly group cohort sessions with your peer community, and access to all OneTeam frameworks and resources. At $199 per month through the current partnership with the Center for Church Leadership, it is the most accessible entry point to a full Lap experience IC offers.
